| THE PROJECT: |
| With a view to promote health and education in the surrounding locality, Kalluveettil family formed a Foundation by name “St. Mary Health Educational And Research Foundation” and now known as St. Mary Health Educational And Research Foundation, a company registered under section 25 of Companies Act. The Foundation has been funded liberally by the family to enable the Foundation to carry out the charitable activities. In due course, the Members of the Foundation conceived the idea of establishing a Multi-specialty Hospital and a Medical College. For this purpose about 32 acre of land has already been acquired and the process of purchasing an additional 34 acre to merge all together as 66 acre is in progress as the part of promoters’ contribution. The locality will be named as “MARYLAND”. |

| The total project envisaged consists of a 1000 bedded Multi-Specialty Hospital and a Medical College for admitting 150 students per year. The hospital will be provided with most modern, state of art equipments to facilitate world class treatment to the patients. A full fledged research wing will also function in the complex. The Project however, will be implemented in phases. In the first phase a 1000 bedded Multi-specialty Hospital will be completed and made operational. Construction of the Teaching College for admitting 150 students for the MBBS course will also be completed and commissioned in the first phase. The total estimated cost of this project will be about Rs.1000/- Crores. The hospital will be designed by experts such as Siemens etc. who specialize in the field and provided with most modern devices for diagnostic investigations. The project is expected to be completed in about 18 months from the date of commencement. |

| Our aim is to bring this institute into a Medical University, having MBBS, PG courses for student to undergo their medical studies and to tie-up with Harvard Medical International, Mayo Clinic, Houston Heart Centre etc. |

| Creating a Corpus Fund from our resources to run the Hospitals for giving 50% free treatment to the poor and needy people in and around this region. |

| LOCATION OF THE PROJECT: |
Nagercoil Town is located at the southern tip of peninsular India. The town has a pleasant, though humid, climate for a major part of the year and surrounded by hills. green paddy fields, and beaches. The site for the proposed project “MARYLAND” is located at Chunkankadai, about 7 KM off Nagercoil Town for setting up the 1000 bedded Multi-Specialty Hospital and Teaching College. |

The site is well connected by road, Rail as well as Air. It is just about ½ KM away from the National Highway (NH47), about 8 KM from Nagercoil Railway Station and about 60 KM from Trivandrum International Airport near by state capital of Kerala. All necessary amenities such as electrical connection, abundant water and communication facilities are also easily available in this location. |
